SRM Kattankulathur Dental College and Hospital Conducts Free Dental Camp at Ponneri

The Department of Public Health Dentistry, SRM Kattankulathur Dental College and Hospital (SRMKDCH), under SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), organized a free dental treatment camp on July 26, 2025, at Ponneri. The initiative was aimed at extending quality oral health services to the local community while spreading awareness on preventive dental care.

At the camp, residents benefited from comprehensive oral health checkups, preventive treatments, and counselling sessions on maintaining daily oral hygiene. The team of faculty members, postgraduate students, and interns from SRMKDCH played a key role in ensuring that people from all age groups received proper diagnosis, treatment, and guidance.

Speaking about the initiative, the faculty members highlighted that community camps form an integral part of the Department of Public Health Dentistry’s outreach activities, ensuring access to dental care beyond the hospital setting.
