SRM Kattankulathur Dental College and Hospital came alive with energy, enthusiasm, and excellence as TAANDAV 25, our annual sports fest, unfolded on 27th and 28th July 2025. This much-anticipated event was a vibrant celebration of athleticism, teamwork, and sportsmanship, bringing together students, faculty, and guests in a spirited showcase of sports and unity.

Organised by Retalionz (Batch of 2020-25) in collaboration with the Directorate of Sports, SRMIST

A truly inspiring figure officially inaugurated the fest, Mr. K. Subramanian, an 86-year-old veteran athlete whose unwavering dedication to fitness and sportsmanship left the audience deeply moved. His presence and message were a poignant reminder that age is no barrier to passion.

A proud and symbolic torch lighting ceremony, led by our student athletes with national and regional accolades, set the tone for what was to follow – two days of spirited competition and celebration.

The event also witnessed an impressive March Past by the four houses:

• Aqua
• Terra
• Ignis
• Zephyr

Each contingent marched with unity and pride, embodying the values of discipline, identity, and sportsmanship.

Adding to the festivity, Dr. Vivek N, Dean (Dental), SRMKDC;  Dr. K T Magesh, Vice Principal, SRMKDC; Dr. Deepak C, HOD, Department of Orthodontics, SRMKDC, and other esteemed faculty members were also present in the gallery, cheering on the participants and showing their unwavering support.

Over the two action-packed days, the campus echoed with cheers, challenges, and champions. From thrilling track events to high-energy team games, TAANDAV 25 truly celebrated the spirit of youth, resilience, and collaboration.
