About Us

Department of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at SRM Kattankulathur Dental College & Hospital was established in 2007. The department is located on the fifth floor in the clinical block.
The objective of the department is the correction of the malocclusions of the teeth, the study of the relation of the teeth to the development of the face, and the correction of arrested and perverted development through adolescence to adulthood.
The department has well-designed chambers allotted for clinical examination, a student laboratory, digital X-rays, photography room with a museum mounted with numerous specimens and models.

The department has a dry lab and wet lab equipped with hydro solder, vacuum pressure molding unit, lathe trimmer, model trimmer, sand blaster, etc.
The department has 3D imaging software for treatment simulation for orthodontic and various surgical procedures
