PedoPulse 2025 Marks Another Milestone in Pediatric Dental Education and Community Outreach

The Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry hosted the 13th edition of PedoPulse, an annual conference that brings together students, researchers, and clinicians committed to improving oral health care for children. The event has grown steadily over the years, and this edition continued that momentum with strong participation and meaningful engagement.

More than 175 delegates from dental colleges across Tamil Nadu attended the conference, creating a lively space for discussion and discovery. The scientific sessions featured a wide range of paper and poster presentations, giving young researchers and seasoned professionals a chance to showcase their work, exchange ideas, and explore emerging developments in pediatric dentistry.

PedoPulse 2025 wasn’t limited to academic activity. Since the conference coincided with Children’s Day, the department extended its efforts beyond the campus. Free dental camps were organised in and around Potheri, offering screenings and guidance to children who often lack access to routine dental care. Various school-level competitions also helped spark interest in oral health among students in a fun and engaging way.

The combination of academic dialogue and community service made this year’s PedoPulse a well-rounded event. It highlighted the department’s ongoing commitment to excellence in pediatric dental care, the advancement of research, and sustained outreach that benefits the wider community.
