Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Scheme

May 1 is International Workers’ Day where we honor laborers and the working class from every corner of the world. Commonly referred to as Labour Day or May Day in many countries, International Workers’ Day celebrates hard working individuals everywhere. In order to observe the same, Department of Public Health Dentistry , SRM Kattankulathur Dental College and Hospital, organised a health awareness session and treatment camp for the workers of MAHATMA GANDHI NATIONAL RURAL EMPLOYMENT SCHEME on 6/5/2023 at Sirumathur ,Padappai. Faculty
(Dr.R.Giridhar) and Interns (Thiruthik, Sneha Thomas, Ankur Ghosh, Tejaswini,Raju Ghosh) addressed the gathering highlighting the importance of proper food habits and ill effects of tobacco, alcohol, etc. Demonstration of proper brushing
techniques and ways to maintain oral health was also done. Overall a day well spent.
