Inter-collaborative Clinical Society Meeting at SRM Kattankulathur Dental College and Hospital
Kattankulathur, November 2024 – The Department of Public Health Dentistry at SRM Kattankulathur Dental College and Hospital (SRMKDC) hosted a highly informative Inter-collaborative Clinical Society Meeting focused on Research Methodology. The event took place on 26th November 2024 at Dr. T. P. Ganesan Auditorium Mini Hall-2 and was attended by faculty, researchers, and students from various disciplines.
The program featured two insightful sessions aimed at enhancing participants’ research skills and knowledge. The first session was a lecture by Mounika V, an intern at SRMKDC, who presented on “Basic Steps in Developing a Questionnaire.” Her talk focused on the key principles and best practices in designing effective questionnaires, which are essential tools in research.
The second session, “Hands-on Demonstration of Data Collection using Kobo Toolbox,” was conducted by Ramajayam Anbazhagan, Aravinth KR, and Jyothishmathi AS, Teaching Assistants from the Centre for Statistics, SRMIST. This session provided participants with practical experience in digital data management, teaching them how to collect and analyze data using the Kobo Toolbox platform.
The meeting successfully combined theory and practice, offering attendees a comprehensive understanding of research methodologies, particularly in questionnaire development and data collection techniques.
The sessions were well-received, with participants gaining valuable insights into the research process and digital tools that can streamline data management in clinical and public health research.
