Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry Conducts Clinical Society Meeting on Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy
The Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry, SRM Kattankulathur Dental College & Hospital, successfully conducted a Clinical Society Meeting on the topic Beyond the Habit: Rethinking Oral Habits Through Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy.
The academic session was presented by postgraduate students Dr. Sana Nasreen (II Year PG), Dr. Shivangi Dixit (II Year PG), and Dr. Vidyashri S. (II Year PG), who provided an in-depth overview of the role of Orofacial Myofunctional Therapy (OMT) in identifying and managing deleterious oral habits.
The presentation emphasized the importance of OMT in enhancing oral function, supporting normal facial growth and development, and improving long-term orthodontic stability.
