Inter-collaborative Clinical Society Meeting at SRM Kattankulathur Dental College and Hospital

The Department of Public Health Dentistry at SRM Kattankulathur Dental College and Hospital (SRMKDC) conducted an Inter-collaborative Clinical Society Meeting focused on Research Methodology. The event took place on 26th November 2024 at Mini Hall-2, Dr. T. P. Ganesan Auditorium.

The program featured two insightful sessions designed to enhance research skills among participants:

1. Lecture on “Basic Steps in Developing a Questionnaire”

Mounika V, an intern from SRMKDC, delivered a comprehensive lecture on the fundamental steps involved in developing a questionnaire. The session emphasised best practices in questionnaire design, and highlighted the importance of clarity, relevance and structure in data collection tools.

2. Hands-on Demonstration of Data Collection using Kobo Toolbox

Mr. Ramajayam Anbazhagan, Mr. Aravinth K R, and Ms. Jyothishmathi A S, Teaching Assistants from the Centre for Statistics at SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRMIST), conducted a hands-on demonstration on using the Kobo Toolbox for data collection.

These interactive sessions provided participants with practical experience in digital data management and showcased the applications of Kobo Toolbox in efficiently gathering and analysing research data.

Both sessions were well-received and provided attendees with valuable insights into research methodology and practical tools for data collection. The event underscored the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in advancing research capabilities.
