Dental Screening and Health Promotion Camp at TMS Vidhyalaya

The Department of Public Health Dentistry, SRM Kattankulathur Dental College and Hospital, organised a Dental Screening and Health Promotion Camp at TMS Vidhyalaya Matriculation School, Maraimalai Nagar, as part of National Nutrition Week.

The programme aimed to promote oral health awareness and encourage healthy lifestyle habits among schoolchildren through dental screening and interactive educational activities. The children participated in engaging, hands-on sessions that highlighted the importance of oral hygiene, balanced nutrition, healthy eating habits and reducing sugar consumption.

As part of the initiative, nutritious snack packs containing dry fruits and nuts were distributed to the students to encourage healthier food choices and reinforce the importance of good nutrition.

The camp provided an opportunity for children to learn about oral health and nutrition in an enjoyable and engaging environment. The initiative reflects the department’s commitment to promoting preventive dental care and fostering healthy habits among young children through community outreach programmes.
