Oral Health Screening and Treatment Camp for Senior Citizens

The Department of Public Health Dentistry, SRM Kattankulathur Dental College and Hospital, organised an Oral Health Screening and Treatment Camp at a senior citizens’ home as part of its community outreach initiative.

The camp aimed to promote oral health awareness and improve access to dental care among senior citizens. The residents received oral health screenings, necessary dental treatments and referrals for further care wherever required.

The programme also included an awareness session on simple oral hygiene practices and their importance in maintaining overall health and well-being. As part of the initiative, motivational cards were distributed to the residents to encourage positivity and foster a sense of warmth and connection.

The initiative reflects the department’s continued commitment to community service and promoting oral health awareness among vulnerable and underserved populations.
